The rack once removed from the box, is to be set up in the above position, and placed over the spare wheel of the vehicle as pictured above. Ensure the spare tyre of the car fits completely into the rectangular bar of the rack. Wrap the retaining strap around the underside of the spare tyre and pull it tight, securing the rack to the tyre. A knot can be tied in both ends of the strap for additional security as pictured below.
